Teacher's Aide Rescues Choking Child In Cliffside Park
Young Kayla Lopez was having lunch at Cliffside Park’s No. 3 school when a piece of meat suddenly got stuck. The choking 7-year-old was in distress and terribly frightened. Seeing what was happening, teacher’s aide Jessica Foster rushed over and dislodged the food with the Heimlich maneuver, said Kayla’s mom, Natasha Madrid. That wasn’t all, however. Fair Lawn Man Chokes To Death On Food
A Fair Lawn man died when he choked on some food, authorities confirmed. What the 54-year-old victim choked couldn't immediately be determined by responders called to a 20th Street home shortly before 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21. Melanie Buschgans was at dinner with friends at Rutgers University's Livingston Dining Hall Feb. 4 when something unusual happened: She began to choke. : Off-Duty EMTs, Officer Coincidentally Dining At Same Rahway Restaurant Save Choking Man
A group of off-duty EMTs and an off-duty police officer who all happened to be eating at the same Rahway restaurant sprung into action to save a man choking on his food Monday night. The six medics and the officer were dining at The Waiting Room in Rahway, when the man began choking on a piece of steak around 9:30 p.m. Elizabeth EMT Amber Henderson, 27, was the first to notice. "I happened to look over and saw a woman standing up and hitting a man on the back," she told Daily Voice.
