Popular Bar, Pizzeria Announces Open Date For Bergen County Location A popular bar and restaurant with nine locations in New Jersey is opening another later this month. Tommy's Tavern + Tap announced on Instagram that its Edgewater location will open at City Place on Wednesday, June 26. The expansive Tommy's menu includes pizza, burgers, salads, small plates, sushi, beer, cocktails, wine, happy hour specials, and more. Tommy's has locations in Sea Bright, Freehold, Clifton, Bridgewater, Edison, Princeton, Morris Plains, Mount Laurel, Cherry Hill, and now Edgewater. The Summit institution, which has existed since 1868 at 570 Springfield Ave., is undergoing a renovation by Landmark Hospitality with an expected opening in the 2024 season, as "The Albion Summit." The hotel will downsize from 150 rooms to 100, and offer a restaurant, a lounge and a co-op working space after the first phase of renovations are done, which is expected to take eight months. Harvest & Ale, on Ramapo Valley Road in Oakland, bills itself as the area's newest farm-to-table restaurant. Look Inside: Dog Friendly Bar 'Schmitty's' Now Open In Hoboken A dog friendly bar has opened in Hoboken. Schmitty's -- originally billed as the Backyard Bar -- is now open at the former site of Nag’s Head Pub, which closed last year. While there are some elements of the bar still awaiting approval from the building department, the main bar is up and running serving beers, cocktails and featuring an indoor garden wall. The facility was designed by Bergen-based Ashlina Designs, who collaborated with Larkspur Botanicals for greenery.  Schmitty'sAshlina Design Schmitty's opened last Thursday and is located at 359 First St. in Hoboken.

Yard House Opening At Willowbrook Mall Yard House -- a bar that touts itself as having the world's largest selection of draft beer -- is coming to the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, BoozyBurbs reports. The bar and restaurant will be in a 10,000-square-foot space with more than 360 seats, tap rooms with 150+ varieties of beer and more.  The menu includes guac, fries, tacos, nachos, massive salads, chicken, steak, burgers and endless dessert options. No word on where the bar will be located or opening date.
