Man Found Shot Dead In Car On Paterson Street
A man was found shot dead before dawn in a parked car on a Paterson street, and authorities haven't yet said whether or not they consider it suspicious. They're seeking witnesses. The man, whom authorities were trying to identify, was found by officers acting on a tip in the area of Route 19 and Ward Street shortly after 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 3, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Murder Victim Found By Hikers At Eagle Rock Reservation ID'd As NYC Man, 31
A murder victim whose body was found last week at Eagle Rock Reservation has been identified as a 31-year-old man from New York City, authorities announced. Kelsey Steels' body was discovered by hikers along a trail inside of the West Orange on Friday, March 4, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II, said. He was believed to have been shot and killed, Stephens said. Steels was pronounced dead at the scene around 2:15 p.m. No arrests had been made as of Friday, March 11. Second Shooting In Month At Englewood Housing Complex Just Misses Intended Victim
Someone opened fire for the second time in a month at the same Englewood apartment complex over the weekend -- only this time it came much closer to the intended target, authorities said. The would-be victim was sitting in a room when the shooter walked up and fired a bullet through the window shortly after midnight Friday into Saturday at the Martin Luther King Gardens complex at William Street and West Englewood Avenue, responders said.
