Update: Laughing Homeless Man Derails NYC Subway In West Village, Authorities Say A Manhattan subway train derailed Sunday morning after a laughing homeless man tossed construction materials onto the tracks, authorities said. Three of the 30 or so passengers on board sustained injuries in the 8:17 a.m. derailment, which left the uptown A train stuck about 100 feet into the tunnel at 14th Street and Eighth Avenue in the West Village, they said. Environmentalists Explain Hundreds Of Dead Fish Floating In Hudson River Hundreds of dead fish recently found floating in the Hudson River are no cause for concern, environmentalists say.  Their deaths, in fact, are the result of a "naturally occurring phenomenon," according to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC). The dead bunker were first spotted floating between 59th Street and the George Washington Bridge on the Manhattan side of the river.
