Six families were displaced by a fast-moving four-alarm fire Monday afternoon in the southwest section of Yonkers, fire officials said, There were no injuries in the blaze, which heavily damaged a three-story building at 94 Saratoga Ave., said Deputy Fire Chief John Flynn. The fire was reported by a child shortly after 2 p.m, and the first units to arrive found the wood-frame building fully involved, Flynn said. Westport Home Damaged By Fire WESTPORT, Conn. — A home caught fire Sunday morning, forcing the closure of a Westport road. The fire at 53 Washington Ave. was called in to the department by a neighbor at 9:27 a.m., Westport Assistant Fire Chief Bill Dingee said. Firefighters had the blaze extinguished within 15 minutes of their arrival, he said. "Fire was visible on the roof when we arrived," Dingee said. Crews are working on George Place, South Sixth Avenue and Secor Avenue, The city said that power had been restored to 95 percent of residents who had been affected by Hurricane Sandy.
