Northern Valley/Demarest's identical twins, 18, played basketball, softball and volleyball in New Jersey but are ready to add one more arena to their resumes.
"Usually when you play with someone new you have to get to know how they play," said Victoria, the self-proclaimed "shorter twin with a freckle on my cheek."
"But growing up with [Veronica], I know how she plays," she said. "I know her shots. I feel like we have built-in partners."
The multi-sport athletes helped lead NV/D's softball team to its second Big North National Division championship this spring and hope to have the same success with the Lady Privateers.
Beach volleyball matches are played in pairs, like tennis, but the twins don't yet know if they'll be paired. Regardless, they’re happy that they can continue playing together.
"From day one we knew wherever we were going we'd have to be together," said Veronica, who calls herself "the taller twin that doesn't usually wear eye makeup."
"We just enjoy each other so much."
"And not even in a sister way," Victoria added. "In a best friend way."
