Due out on Oct. 1, the book is the brainchild of Closter resident Ayelet Nathaniel, whose children's book "Sparkly Me" made her the number best-selling author on Amazon for 16 straight weeks.
Other local contributors are Cresskill resident Orna Jackson, founder of “Orna Jackson Group” and Sossie Arlia, owner of Jack in the Box School, Inc.
“The idea of the book is to inspire and support women,” said Nathaniel, an Israeli immigrant and mom of three. “It’s to make them feel like they’re not alone in this world and they can go on and do whatever they want.”
The New Jersey, New York, California and Connecticut women all share personal stories of “personal triumph, moments of grief, support, growth and ultimately, success,” Nathaniel said on her website.
“Owning a business is very difficult and many women feel very isolated,” she said. “At some point they decided not to pursue their dream because it’s just so hard.
“Each one of us comes from different backgrounds and experience difficulties but this book shows that it doesn’t matter where you come from.”
