Tween Cookie Connoisseur Brings 'Dough' To Closter Whole Foods

CLOSTER, N.J. — A 12-year-old cookie connoisseur will launch a pop-up shop in the Whole Foods Market coming to Closter Wednesday.

It’s a cookie company like none before it. When Ellen heard about Cory, she knew she wanted to do something special for him and his mom, and that’s just what she did!

Cory Nieves of Mr. Cory's Cookies in Englewood made Forbes' "18 Under 18" list of young innovators changing the world this year.

His all-natural, homemade cookies are sold mostly through his website.

It started in 2009 with a dream to buy his mom a car.

Nieves began selling hot chocolate to raise the funds at the Roman Inn in Englewood, and then outside of his house.

He added cookies and lemonade to the menu to help raise funds for college and his business evolved with that.

An accomplished actor, Nieves as appeared in television commercials, theater productions and movies since he was 3.
