Needless to say, they were hungry. The only problem was that they weren’t familiar with the area and didn't know which restaurants were open.

If only there had been an app for that.

Now there is, thanks to the business majors: Late Night Snack.

“The app is for everyone,” said Caruso, 18. “College kids and people living in cities will benefit from it.”

The students both dabbled in business and technology but needed someone to help them produce it. Once they found a freelancer overseas is “just kind of took off,” Caruso said.

Late Night Snack users can make a profile or log in as a guest. With a profile, users and choose restaurant preferences and filter by location or type of food.

The app can be hooked up to a phone's location settings to tap which restaurants in the area are still open for business.

Late Night Snack will be available for free in the app store early next month.
