Left Penniless By Embezzler, Ridgefield Park Boy Scouts Get Surprise Gift From Police
A Bergen County Boy Scouts chapter that authorities said had its bank account drained by a thieving Scout master got an unexpected boost from local police. Ridgefield Park detectives charged Christopher Infantino, 58, of New Milford with embezzling more than $11,000 from the Boy Scouts of America Troop 3 last July. 27th Annual Polar Bear Plunge Approaches In Seaside Heights
It's supposed to be sunny this Saturday, but the temperature could hover around freezing -- just in time for the 27th Annual Polar Bear Plunge in Seaside Heights. Nearly 7,500 plungers have registered, pledging to raise about $2 million for Special Olympics New Jersey. Little Ferry officially welcomed its 10th police chief in history Tuesday night – a born and bred borough lawman whose skills and smarts raised him through the ranks. 36th Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run Covers 750 Miles, Benefits Special Olympics NJ
More than 3,000 law enforcement officers and supporters took to the streets of the Garden State on Friday, among dozens of groups each carrying a "Flame of Hope" to the Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games. The first of 26 separate legs launching the 36th annual Law Enforcement Torch Run began at 6 a.m. Highpoint State Park on Route 23 in Sussex. An exclusive four-course, prix fixe dinner at Westwood’s popular Caffe Anello next week will help raise funds for Special Olympics New Jersey. Members of the Westwood Police Department and PBA Local #206 who will be participating in this year’s Snow Bowl at MetLife Stadium (March 15) are hosting the event.
