The Blue Ridge Lumber driver was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center by a Fair Lawn EMS ambulance following the crash on Plaza Road near Berdan Avenue shortly before 2:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18. Two Hospitalized In Three-Vehicle Pileup In Fair Lawn At least two people were hospitalized following a three-car pileup late Saturday in Fair Lawn. Broadway was temporarily closed in both directions just after 11 p.m. Nov. 4 so that members of the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps could tend to the wounded and the wreckage could be cleared from the intersection at Plaza Road. The extent of injuries couldn't immediately be determined. Serious damage was done to the late-1990s-era Honda CRV and two Toyotas -- a RAV4 and a Prius, which was broadsided on the driver's door -- all of which had to be towed from the scene. The ramps along northbound Route 208 at Berdan Avenue off Plaza Road were affected after the road buckled under the water pressure, leaving a gaping hole, shortly after lunchtime Sept. 8. No vehicle damage or incidents were reported as a result. However, many residents reported brown water coming out of their taps. Fair Lawn PD: Drunk Driver Plows Car Into Two Vehicles In Driveway A Fair Lawn driver was drunk when his car plowed into two vehicles parked in a local resident’s driveway, police said. Richard Sicinski Jr, 45, failed a field test and was charged with DWI and careless driving, among other offenses, after his car barreled off the road and into the driveway at Plaza Road and Rosalie Street just after 11:30 p.m. last Monday, Sgt. Brian Metzler said. Sincinski, who also didn’t have proof of insurance, was released to a responsible adult, Metzler said.

The Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps took Sean Sullivan, 40, to St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center following Friday's crash at Plaza Road and Waverly Avenue just after 11 p.m., Sgt. Brian Metzler said Monday. A family member picked up the retired U.S. Marine, a father of two, at the hospital, he said. Police charged him with DWI, failing to maintain a lane, reckless driving, careless driving and failing to produce the required documents.
