Rutherford Resident Accused Of Brandishing Gun
A tax consultant from Rutherford was arrested for pointing a loaded gun during a dispute, authorities said.
Gerard Losardo, 35, remained held in the Bergen County Jail on Monday, March 13, records show.
He was seized at his home without incident on Friday after allegedly brandishing a legally registered .40-caliber handgun that night, Rutherford Deputy Police Chief Sean Farrell said.
The 6-foot-6, 330-pound Losardo is charged with aggravated assault, criminal restraint, simple assault, making terroristic threats and a weapons offense.
Epic Fail: Would-Be Bank Robber Captured After Leaving Empty-Handed, Hackensack Police Say
A would-be bank robber who walked out of a Hackensack TD branch empty-handed ended up with bracelets instead, authorities said.

Port Authority PD: Man Who Assaulted, Abducted Companion At Newark Airport Captured After Crash
Port Authority police captured a driver who they said assaulted a companion at Newark Airport, sped off with her and her friend in his SUV and then crashed.
The incident began Thursday afternoon at the Terminal B arrivals area, Port Authority Media Relations Deputy Director Amber Greene said.
Jason Strong, 30, of Staten Island, assaulted a woman, then sped off with her and her friend in the Cadillac SRX, which crashed along Meeker Avenue in Newark, Greene said.
The 6-foot, 180-pound Strong -- who already was wanted on warrants -- took off on foot and was quickly captured, she said.

Wallington Woman, 41, Stabbed Several Times, Elmwood Park Man Charged With Attempted Murder
A Wallington woman was expected to survive after being repeatedly stabbed by an Elmwood Park man, authorities said.
Peter Mui, 54, and the victim’s husband -- Mui's former business partner -- had gotten into an argument late Sunday night, responders said.
The 41-year-old woman intervened and was stabbed at least five times outside 23 Main Avenue, they said.
Mui was being held in the Bergen County Jail, charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, making terroristic threats and weapons counts, records show.

Two ex-cons broke into a Bogota apartment to settle a score with another man, then fled after assaulting him, authorities said.
Gregory Owen Cannell, 53, and William E. Hafner, 56, were found by city police in Hackensack after the 6 p.m. burglary and assault in the 200 block of Ridgefield Avenue on Sunday, Sgt. Geoffrey Cole said.
