Secaucus Prostitution Sting Nets Three Arrests, Chief Says
Three women were arrested on prostitution charges in Secaucus last week, authorities said.
The arrests were part of an effort within the township to combat vice related crimes, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
The following individuals were arrested on June 9, he said:
Lucy Oviedo Ramos, 32, of the Dominican Republic, for engaging in prostitution.
Shannon Cave, 25, Union City, for engaging in prostitution and promoting prostitution.
Edily Perez Batista, 25, of Elizabeth, for engaging in prostitution.
Miller did not release the locations where the arrests occurred.

A pair of men were arrested after they agreed to meet up with individuals who they believed were 14- and 15-year-old girls in Secaucus, police said following an undercover investigation.
Nicholas Signorelli, 24, of Springfield, luring and enticing a child, while Nevil Rana, 34, of Wallington, was charged with the same, along with criminal attempt to endanger the welfare of a child and obscenity for persons under 18, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

Undercover Prostitution Sting Nets 5 In Secaucus
Four women and one man were arrested in an undercover prostitution sting in Secaucus, police said.
"A majority of our violent crimes are related to the prostitution at some of our hotels," Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.
"Therefore, to address the root cause -- prostitution -- we conducted an undercover prostitution sting.
The locations are not being released due to ongoing investigations, the chief said.
The following arrests were made on March 26, Miller said.

North Jersey Dealer In OD Nabbed With 100 Heroin Folds, 70 Opioid Films, Police Say
The man who sold heroin to an individual who overdosed on it last month was found with more than 100 heroin folds, 70 opioid films and more, according to North Jersey authorities who arrested him.
Jason Keidel, 51, of Secaucus, was arrested on March 16 and charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute and several other drug charges, and lodged in the Hudson County Correctional Facility, Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller said.

A pair of fugitives were busted with a dead hand grenade, eight loaded weapons, more than $36,000 in cash, drugs and more during a 7-hour standoff that evacuated a North Jersey hotel Sunday night, authorities said Monday.
