A Warren County woman was intoxicated when she drove the wrong way down Route 46 and struck another vehicle head-on, sending her own passenger and the other driver to the hospital, authorities charged.
Alexandra Jurchescu, 41, was charged with assault by auto, DWI, designation of highway for one-way traffic, and reckless driving following the crash, which occurred just after 10 p.m. on Friday, May 20, Mount Olive Police said.
Jurchescu, of Hackettstown, was heading west in the eastbound lanes when she hit another car head-on, police said.

A Monmouth County jury has found a Hudson County man guilty of raping a woman after their first date at a Jersey Shore beach, authorities said
Kawami R. Junor, 28, of Bayonne, was convicted on all charges, including sexual assault, criminal restraint and criminal sexual contact, according to Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey.
Junor was additionally found guilty of assault by auto, a disorderly persons offense, by Monmouth County Superior Court Judge Joseph W. Oxley following the verdict.
Junor is scheduled to be sentenced on May 6.

Taquaysha Bell, 29, of Trenton, was heading west on White Horse Pike on June 19, when she swerved into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle head-on, Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill announced.

A PA man pleaded guilty to eluding, assault by auto and various weapons offenses after leading police on an armed North Jersey chase ending with a crash that injured three people.
Demarcus A. Caldwell, 35, led New Jersey State Police on a high-speed chase through Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Somerset, and Hunterdon counties before crashing into two vehicles on Route 78 in Clinton Township and injuring three people, Hunterdon County Prosecutor Renée M. Robeson said.
