The budget is $541,889, or 3 percent, more than last year's mainly because of a 6.5 increase in costs for special education students and to upgrade the district's technology systemwide, said NorthJersey.com.

In addition, increasing enrollment in the district calls for hiring new staff. A public hearing will conducted in May to review the final budget figures. Its impact on homeowners and taxpayers should be known by then, added NorthJersey.com.
