Lodi man, 54, charged with sexually assaulting girl

Detectives arrested Joseph Manfredi of Kipp Avenue this week after the girl, now 16, told a Lodi High School guidance counselor who alerted Lodi police, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon.

Molinelli said members of his Special Victims Unit arrested Manfredi on charges of aggravated sexual assault and child endangerment after interviewing the teen.

Manfredi, who is single and unemployed, was being held on $150,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail after an initial court appearance yesterday.
