Home invasion robbers get $2 million in cash, gold at Edgewater high-rise

  • YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: The victim of a luxury high-rise home invasion in Edgewater was pulled from his bed by four gunmen who broke his ribs while beating him, then tied him up and spent three hours stealing $2 million in cash, gold and jewelry, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon, in formally announcing the arrests of two neighbors. READ MORE….

No injuries were reported in the robbery at the St. Moritz on Gorge Road, a law enforcement source with direct knowledge of the incident told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The robbers removed a surveillance DVR during the heist, which occurred sometime around 4 a.m., the source said. (EDITOR’S NOTE: It was subsequently reported that the thieves took three hours, beginning around 1 a.m.)
