Officers James Dalton and Joseph Criscuolo stopped a Chevy Camaro for making an improper left onto Hudson Avenue around 8 p.m., Sgt. Steven Titus told CLIFFVIEW PILOT just after midnight.

They spotted the marijuana on the passenger seat, got consent to search the car from the driver — identified as 32-year-old New Milford native Justin Pearly — and found the other drugs, Titus said.

Pearly, of Nutley, was being taken to the Bergen County Jail, where a judge ordered him held on $25,000 bail.

Charges include drug distribution, possession of drugs with the intent to distribute them, possession within 500 feet of a public park and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also issued him traffic summonses.
