Cliffside Park Construction Worker Charged With Beating Girl, 12

CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. – A Cliffside Park construction worker beat a 12-year-old girl, leaving her with leg injuries, said authorities who arrested him.

Alfredo Medina-Sanchez, 50, who is married, was released without bail pending a Jan. 9 first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack on a child abuse charge, Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal said Thursday.

Grewal said Cliffside Park police notified members of his Special Victims Unit after learning of the girl’s injuries. Unit members and borough police arrested him Wednesday, the prosecutor said.
