CLIFFSIDE PARK, N.J. -- A construction worker fell 20 feet and had to be rescued Monday after a scaffold collapsed at a Cliffside Park construction site atop the Palisades.
Firefighters rappelled down to rescue the 32-year-old worker from Newark, who ended up stuck between the project on Adolphus Avenue, off Gorge Road, and the building next door around 10:30 a.m., borough spokesman Bill Maer told Daily Voice
The worker was flown by AirMed One to Hackensack University Medical Center with head and back injuries, Maer said.
Construction recently began on the 14-story, 200-unit residential project, known as One Park, at 320 Adolphus Avenue.
