Mercer County Man Charged In Home Invasion, Sexual Assault: Middlesex Prosecutor
A Mercer County man has been charged with attempted murder in a home invasion, authorities said.
Justin Surofsky, 26, of Hightstown was arrested in East Windsor without incident and charged with two counts of first-degree Aggravated Sexual Assault, first- degree Criminal Attempt-Murder, second-degree Burglary, third-degree Aggravated Criminal Sexual Contact, second-degree Kidnapping, third-degree Criminal Restraint, second-degree Aggravated Assault, and first-degree Robbery, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

Grand Jury Indictment Returned In 1999 South Jersey Rape, Attempted Murder, Prosecutor Says
A Camden County grand jury has returned an indictment in a decades-old rape, robbery and attempted murder case, authorities said.
The "cold case" remained unsolved until last year, according to acting Camden County Prosecutor Jill S. Mayer and Somerdale Police Chief James J. Walsh.

A Long Island man was arrested for luring and sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Jersey City, authorities said Thursday.
Cecilio Viera-Viera, 21, of Freeport, NY, met the girl on social media and lured her through conversations and interactions to meet him in-person on June 4, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said.

A Newark man sexually abused two children – one 6, the other 4 – in Paterson and Passaic, authorities charged.
Tahmir Norris, 29, became the subject of an investigation following a May 6 call from St. Mary’s Hospital, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said Friday.
Detectives from the prosecutor’s Special Victims Unit interviewed the 6-year-old child and multiple witnesses, Valdes said.
