The unnamed driver from Berlin was headed south on Haddonfield Berlin Road in a 2008 Honda at a high rate of speed when they struck a 2024 Lexus SUV being operated by a 53-year-old Atco resident just before 10:10 p.m. near Lafayette Avenue in Voorhees, local police said.

After the initial impact with the Lexus SUV, the Honda crossed the double yellow lines and struck a northbound vehicle head-on, authorities said.

That vehicle, a 2016 Chevy Traverse, was being operated by a 41-year-old Voorhees resident.

Voorhees police and fire/EMS responded to the scene, where the Honda driver was pronounced dead.

There were no reported injuries to the occupants of the Lexus, however, the driver of the Traverse was taken by ambulance to Virtua Voorhees Hospital. They were in stable condition as of press time.

Voorhees Police and the Camden County Prosecutors Office continue to investigate the crash. If anyone has information related to this crash please call the Voorhees Police at 856-428-5400.
