Gregory Van Sciver Obituary Mount Laurel Gregory A. Van Sciver, of Mount Laurel, died on May 5, according to an obituary published by Mount Laurel Home For Funerals. He was 33 years old. Greg was a lifelong resident of Mount Laurel and a 2009 graduate of Lenape High School, his obituary said. He was an excellent athlete in high school, excelling in pole vaulting as Burlington County champion and wrestling making it to the regional championships, his obit said. NJ Man Infected With Rare Mosquito-Borne Virus A New Jersey man has been infected with a rare mosquito-borne virus, state health officials confirmed Wednesday. A Sussex County man in his 60s started suffering a fever and various neurological symptoms in May and later tested positive for the Jamestown Canyon virus, marking the state’s first detection of a mosquito-borne disease this year. The Jamestown Canyon virus (JCV) is transmitted through the bite of an infected mosquito and is treated by “supportive care,” health officials said. Burlington County's Batsto Village Reached Capacity This Weekend Nearly half-a-dozen New Jersey state parks were closed after reaching capacity this weekend. Residents eager for fresh air flocked to the state's parks and golf courses bright and early Saturday and Sunday, May 16 and 17 -- the third weekend since Gov. Phil Murphy allowed the state's parks to reopen since the shutdown.
