Driver, 78, Killed, Passenger Seriously Injured After Car Strikes Tree In Mercer County: Police A 78-year-old man who suffered a medical emergency died after his car struck a tree in Mercer County, authorities said. Jared Fowler, of Pennington, was driving near Fackler Road and Deer Run at about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 7 when he veered off the road, Lawrence Township police said. Fowler was taken to Capital Health Systems Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said. His passenger, Janne Fowler, 78, was taken to the hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Rescuers Free Teaneck Man Pinned Between Table, Bench Responders with power tools rescued a Teaneck man who got wedged between a wooden table and a workout bench in a garage. A passerby noticed the 60-year-old Bogert Street man's plight and alerted police around 10 p.m. Wednesday, authorities said. Police, firefighters, the Teaneck Volunteer Ambulance Corps found and extricated the unconscious victim, who may have suffered a medical episode, Deputy Police Chief John A. Faggello said.
