NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- First responders and citizens are rallying to help find a bicycle stolen from a popular 16-year-old New Milford junior firefighter.
The teen was at a party just across the border in Dumont Saturday night when his blue-framed wheels were swiped from the side of the homeowner's garage.
"You'll know it by the fat tires," New Milford's Maria Demler said.
It's likely a special "New Milford Fire Dept." license plate was removed from the bike, which the teen uses to get to the firehouse during calls, she added.
No questions will be asked if the person who took it or knows where to find it returns the bicycle to New Milford Fire Co. 1 on Center Street, authorities said.
