Englewood man charged with burning 5-year-old Garfield girl

CLIFFVIEW PILOT HAS IT FIRST: Authorities found burns on a 5-year-old Garfield girl and arrested a Dumont Stop & Shop employee from Englewood man who they said was responsible.

Darren Lindo-McKingley

Darren Lindo-McKingley, 22, of Elmore Avenue was charged with child endangerment after being arrested this afternoon by Garfield police and members of the Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli ‘s Special Victims Unit.

Lindo-McKingley, who was graduated from Dwight Morrow High School in Englewood five years ago, is being held on $100,000 bail.

He’s due in Garfield Municipal Court at 9 tomorrow morning.

Police were called by The New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services after authorities discovered she “had suffered burns on different parts of her body,” Molinelli said.
