DUMONT, N.J. -- Dozens of online well-wishers cheered on Dumont firefighter Zac Arlin as he left Sunday for boot camp with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Arlin, a Dumont High School graduate from Pearl River, "has always been eager to serve his country, and his community," the DFD Independent Hose Company said in a Facebook post on Sunday.
A string of "good luck," "thank you," "God bless" and "stay safe" messages -- and, of course, "Semper Fi" -- followed in rapid succession.
