Jean A. Potenski, of Dumont

DUMONT, N.J. -- Jean A. Potenski of Dumont, died on Friday, March 31. 

She was born and raised in Jersey City, before moving to Dumont in 1940. She was very active in the community, volunteering in the Dixon Homestead Library and also numerous roles in building up St. Mary’s R.C. Church, including Grand Regent of the Catholic Daughters of America and the Altar & Rosary Society. She worked for the Dumont Board of Education after her husband died.

Survived by her devoted sons, Donald and Kenneth, and her seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jean’s memory to St. Mary’s R.C. Church or to the charity of your choice.
