DUMONT, N.J. -- Dumont resident Aniano B. Yabut died Wednesday, Jan. 27. He was 90.

Born in the Philippines, Yabut worked as a policeman in the Philippines. He was La Cabeza de Comunidad in Macabebe.

He is survived by his children, Marissa Garcia and Antonette Chester; grandchildren Johanna and Warren; and siblings Joseph, Dominador Jr., Priscilla, Virginia and Ligaya.

Yabut was predeceased by his wife, Severina Tulud.

Visiting hours will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday at the Frech-McKnight Funeral Home, 161 Washington Ave., Dumont. All are invited to gather at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Saturday for an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church in Dumont. Cremation will be private.
