Man Struck, Killed By Minivan While Crossing Jersey Shore Road
Police are investigating after a man was killed by a minivan in Monmouth County, authorities said. Ocean Township police were called to a pedestrian crash on West Park Avenue at around 5:49 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 30, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago announced on Wednesday, Jan. 31. The crash closed the avenue between Poplar Road and Cindy Lane. Investigators said a 68-year-old man was crossing the avenue "in an undetermined direction" when he was hit by a 2017 Dodge Grand Caravan heading west. A pedestrian crash closed a portion of Route 130 in Brooklawn Friday afternoon, Dec. 29, the state's DOT website shows. As of 1:30 p.m., the roadway was shut at Browning Road on the southbound side with delays reported.

Cumberland County Driver Indicted For Leaving Scene Of Fatal Pedestrian Crash
A 66-year-old Cumberland County man has been indicted for leaving the scene of a hit-and-run pedestrian crash, authorities said. Steven Clark was unlicensed at the time of the crash, Prosecutor Jennifer Webb-McRae said. His minivan was traveling on North Pearl Street in Bridgeton around 8:40 p.m. on Oct. 17, 2022, when prosecutors say the vehicle struck Leonardo Sanchez-Salas as he crossed the street, the prosecutor said.
