Atlantic City police said 26-year-old Eric Blanco-Reid and 24-year-old Brianne Cox, both of Brooklyn, NY, were arrested.

Officers responded to a fight on the beach block of Arkansas Avenue at around 7:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5. They found the victim, a local cab driver who gave a ride to Blanco-Reid and Cox.

The couple refused to pay when they arrived at their destination, according to police. The taxi driver followed them and got into a fight with Blanco-Reid.

During the fight, investigators said Blanco-Reid threatened the taxi driver with a pocket knife. The knife fell to the ground while the two fought.

Cox picked the knife up and the couple ran away. The taxi driver wasn't injured.

Police got surveillance photos of the couple from Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino. The department's surveillance unit tracked them down the boardwalk to Bally's Atlantic City.

Bally's security told police that Blanco-Reid and Cox were at a restaurant. The couple was arrested and officers recovered the knife from Cox.

Blanco-Reid was charged with robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and theft of services. He was held at the Atlantic County Justice Facility.

Cox was charged with theft of services and conspiracy. She was released on a summons.
