A chemical leak prompted the evacuation of about 170 drug treatment center residents in Atlantic County, according to developing and unconfirmed reports.

The hazardous materials incident was reported before 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18 on Cantilion Boulevard in Hamilton, initial reports said.

The residents were being moved from the John Brooks Recovery Center with help from the AtlantiCare Mass Casualty Task Force, reports said.
