Traffic Slowed After Overturned Truck Spills Debris Into Busy Maryland Roadway Some motorists were held up on Wednesday afternoon in Montgomery County when a dump truck overturned and spilled debris into a busy roadway. Fourth District units were called at around 2 p.m. on Oct. 9 to a stretch of Layhill Road near Norbeck Road, which led to delays for some travelers heading through the area in the area of Aspen Hill. Fireworks Confiscated From Fiery I-270 Crash Scene In Maryland, Officials Say The investigation into a vehicle fire on I-270 early on the Fourth of July led to the recovery of fireworks in Montgomery County, officials say. First responders were called to a stretch of the southbound lanes of the interstate at around 4 a.m. near Montrose Road in Rockville, where there was a reported crash involving two vehicles, one of which was fully engulfed in flames. According to a Montgomery County Fire and EMS spokesperson, three people suffered non-life-threatening injuries, and the driver of one of the vehicles fled.
