I-8 Gunman Dies By Suicide After Shooting 3 Workers, Killing 2: Police
The manhunt that put parts of Virginia on alert Wednesday morning ended with three people dead.
Marvin Grant, 37, of Charlotte, NC, shot three of his coworkers at United Rentals on Wellington Road in Manassas shortly after 7 a.m. on Sept. 30, killing two before fleeing south and ultimately taking his own life along I-81, according to Manassas City and Virginia State Police.
Richard Lamont, 48, and Christopher Serrano, 33, were killed in the shooting. A third victim survived and remained hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday afternoon.

Three years later, detectives say they finally know who killed Avrell Milam.
The break in the Maryland murder case led investigators to Washington, DC, where a 67-year-old man was arrested this month in connection with the fatal 2023 stabbing, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
Kevin Warbington, who has no fixed address, is accused of killing Milam, 33, whose body was found outside near the Hyattsville Crossing Metro station in the early-morning hours of Aug. 30, 2023.
