These Party City Stores To Shut Down In Maryland, Virginia Amid Massive Closure
Dozens of Party City locations in the DMV region are among the hundreds set to be closed as the company announced it is going out of business. Both Maryland and Virginia were hit hard by the reported closure, which will impact approximately 800 stores across the country. Party City was founded in 1986 and is the largest retailer of party goods in North America. A major retailer primarily located in malls and headquartered in Pennsylvania is set to close all 543 of its stores following its third Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The mother of a 6-year-old boy who shot his teacher in Virginia and left her with serious injuries has been indicted on a pair of charges, Commonwealth’s Attorney Howard Gwynn announced. A 6-year-old Virginia boy was in police custody after he shot his teacher in a classroom, authorities said. A high school special education teacher in the region will spend years behind bars following his sentencing for importing MDMA into the United States from Europe. Just hours after Shanitia Eure-Lewis went missing from her Virginia church, her husband was found with her passport and credit card in his bag while trying to flee to Jamaica.
