A carjacker from Maryland who targeted high-end vehicles throughout the DMV region will spend years in prison for a series of incidents, federal authorities announced.
Hagerstown native Carlos Guardado-Eagle, 22, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for a series of armed carjackings and an attempt that was thwarted back in 2022.

One person was injured after crashing a BMW through the front of a garage in Montgomery County.
On Tuesday morning, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service personnel were called to the 2900 block of Aquarius Avenue near Hydrus Road, where there was a vehicle that smashed into the front of the structure, a spokesperson for the agency said.

A pair of young filmmakers from the Baltimore area were killed in a crash on Interstate 95 in Delaware while returning from a production in Philadelphia, according to news reports and those who knew them.
