Investigators ID Maryland Driver Killed After Veering Off-Road, Crashing Into Multiple Trees A 52-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash over the weekend after losing control and striking multiple trees in Frederick, according to the sheriff's office,  Kyint Cope was driving in the area of Sundays Lane and Bartgis Road at around 5:10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21 when his Toyota Corolla veered of the left side of the road. Cope was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Maryland Man Who Downed 11 Mimosas Before Fatal Crash Facing 15 Years: Prosecutors A 22-year-old Maryland man is facing prison time for downing nearly a dozen mimosas then getting behind the wheel of a car and crashing, killing a 62-year-old man, authorities said. Kevin Orihuela, of Rockville, faces up to 15 years in prison after being convicted of killing Germantown's Noel Powell in an August 2022 crash, the Montgomery County State's Attorney said.
