A deadly shooting near a Prince George's County funeral home is under investigation, police confirmed. Officers were called to the 7100 block of Old Landover Road at around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning to investigate a reported shooting, and further investigation led to the grisly discovery of a dead body inside a vehicle in the 7400 block. According to police, they are searching for multiple suspects who arrived at the initial scene and opened fire before fleeing in a vehicle. A 41-year-old District resident has been identified as the person killed in a midday stabbing in a Prince George's County parking lot over the weekend. At approximately 2 p.m. on Aug. 10, officers were called to the 5600 block of Silver Hill Road, where they found Christopher Woodland suffering from a stab wound. A homicide investigation has been launched in Prince George's County after a teen girl died from her injuries following a triple shooting in District Heights, authorities announced. Police have identified 14-year-old Suitland resident Khamya Ferrell as the person who died in a shooting late last month that left two other adults with non-life-threatening injuries.
