Driver Airlifted To Hospital Following Head-On Crash Involving Four Vehicles In MD: Sheriff
A 44-year-old Calvert County man suffered critical injuries in a head-on crash that involved three other vehicles in Leonardtown on Sunday afternoon. Andrew Jason Causey, 44, of Solomons, had to be extricated from his vehicle and airlifted to an area trauma center with life-threatening injuries following a multi-vehicle crash, according to the St. Mary's County Sheriff's Office. Motorcyclist Killed In Laurel Crash
A motorcyclist was killed in an overnight crash in Laurel, police said. The unidentified man was heading north on Washington Boulevard on a Suzuki GSX-S750 when it struck a truck turning left near Lynn Buff Court around 4:10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, Howard County police said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the truck were uninjured. The cause of the collision is under investigation. Washington Boulevard in the area of the collision was closed for approximately 3 ½ hours.

A 56-year-old woman died at an area hospital following a crash during the afternoon commute near the Howard and Montgomery County line, police say. Two people were injured near the Germantown Library when a Mazda crashed through a fence and came to rest hanging off a wall on Thursday morning.
