A New Jersey condo complex is going to highly scientific lengths to crack down on residents who don’t pick up after their dogs. At the luxury building Hudson Harbor in Edgewater, where studio apartment rentals start at $2,700 a month, management is turning to dog DNA testing to track down offenders, CBS News reports. The waterfront community has partnered with a company called PooPrints, whose motto is “the DNA solution for dog waste.” And yes, it works exactly how it sounds. The federal government is suing Zillow and Redfin, accusing the real estate giants of cutting an illegal deal to eliminate competition in rental housing advertising, potentially hurting millions of renters. Fire Extinguished Week After Three-Alarm Blaze At Maryland Recycling Plant: Officials
Fire officials in Baltimore County declared that the tricky blaze at the Owl Metals building that continued to rekindle has been extinguished. For the past week, crews have been busy at the site of the partial building collapse as hotspots continued to cause additional fires until officials made it official that it was under control on Monday, Jan. 27.
