Sexual Assault In Fairfax County Under Investigation After Woman Attacked Overnight: Police
A sexual assault suspect is at large in Virginia after allegedly abusing his sleeping victim while armed with a knife in her apartment, according to police officials. An alert was issued by the Fairfax County Police Department in Reston as they continue to investigate an alleged assault on Sunday, Aug. 21 in the 2200 block of Lovedale Lane. Officers were called to an apartment at around 11:50 p.m. on Sunday night, where there was a report of a woman who was sexually assaulted. Police ID Ex-Con Killed In Virginia Shootout
Police have identified the 37-year-old ex-con who was killed in a police shootout earlier this week in Fairfax County. Christian Parker, of Reston, had been wanted for firing a gun in a home Sunday and other offenses when police confronted him in the parking lot of the Springfield Mall around 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 30, county police said. Parker had been convicted of "many, many felonies," Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said. When officers found him in the lot, they positioned their cars in a way to stop his escape.
