Woman Burned In RV Fire Flown To Hospital In St. Mary's County
One woman had to be airlifted to the hospital On Monday after an RV fire broke out in St. Mary's County. Shortly after 8 a.m. on July 15, first responders were called to the 23200 block of Point Lookout Road in Leonardtown, when a fire inside the vehicle was reported. According to the Maryland Fire Marshal, at the time the blaze broke out, the woman was inside the RV with two children. She suffered burns while extinguishing the fire, investigators said, and was flown to an area hospital for treatment. She had been released as of Tuesday, July 16. Some northbound lanes of I-270 were blocked on Monday afternoon in Montgomery County while crews battled a truck fire. At approximately 12:15 p.m. on Monday, June 10, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue personnel were called to a stretch of the interstate near Montrose Road, where there was a truck fully engulfed in flames.
