A deadly shooting at Jappatowne High School is under investigation after a teen died after being airlifted to an area hospital on Friday, the sheriff's office confirmed. Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said that 15-year-old Edgewood resident Grant Warren Curtis died at the hospital after being shot by a 16-year-old classmate on Sept. 6 in a bathroom at the school. A 35-year-old woman has been accused of starting a bedroom blaze in her parent's Harford County home while they were out of the country, fire officials say. Support Swells For Grandmother Who Lost Everything In Two-Alarm Maryland Townhouse Fire
Friends and family of a church-going woman and her 20-year-old grandchild are rallying the community after the two lost everything in the Joppatowne townhouse fire earlier this month. On Monday, Feb. 5, a two-alarm fire broke out in the 600 block of Shore Drive in Harford County displacing a family and damaging two other neighboring homes. Traffic was backed up for miles on I-95 in Harford County on Monday afternoon after a truck struck an overpass and caused a massive fuel spill. At around 1 p.m. on Monday, crews from several area fire departments were called to I-95 after a vehicle struck the MD-24 overpass and left one driver injured and traffic tied up in the area.
