East Rutherford is about to get a modern makeover. The borough's Zoning Board has given the green light for a new three-story apartment building at 20-30 Willow St., bringing 26 fresh units—and a splash of affordable housing—to the neighborhood. The New Jersey State Police is seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in an attempted abduction of a young girl. According to police, the incident occurred on Sunday, Jan. 12 at approximately 11:30 a.m. outside a home near the intersection of State Highway 47 and Main Street in Maurice River Township in Cumberland County. Police have tracked down an arrested a Manassas Park man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old Woodbridge man last week. The incident occurred on Thursday, Jan. 9 in the 8300 block of Sunset Drive in Manassas, where police say an altercation between two groups escalated into gunfire.
