What started as a mistake nearly a year ago landed an Anne Arundel County man a $200,000 prize playing a Maryland Lottery game.
Severna Park native John Ambrose can thank an incompetent clerk for his six-figure win, as well as a $10,000 prize a year ago, after his numbers accidentally got mixed up playing Pick 5.

A Maryland woman went under the name of “Bitcoin Beautee” during her role alongside two others in a Cryptocurrency fraud scheme that netted more than $1.89 billion, she admitted in US District Court on Monday, Jan. 29.

Gianluca Williams Genovese, 18, Jalen Isaiah Gill, 19, Rana Jawad Hamideh, 19, and a 17-year-old boy were taken into custody after the altercation, that occurred in the 300 block of Riverdale Road on Sunday, Feb. 5, according to Anne Arundel County police.

A dump truck driver who was under the influence of alcohol has been charged in connection with a collision that killed a Severna Park man, authorities say.
Nathaniel Ingram, 33, was part of an active construction zone when he drove the truck the wrong way up a closed exit ramp and failed to make a turn, according to Maryland State Police. This happened on I-95 near the 3B exit of Route 2 in the early morning of Wednesday, May 18, police said.
While Ingram was backing up the truck, Anthony Filardo, 33, struck the vehicle while traveling down the highway, police said.
