The Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System (LC-CFRS) has released its comprehensive report on the February 2024 house explosion in Sterling that tragically claimed the life of Firefighter Trevor Brown and injured 13 others. The blast occurred on Feb. 16, 2024, after first responders were called to a gas leak at 347 Silver Ridge Drive. A 26-year-old Maryland man is being sought for raping a girl he met on social media, authorities in Virginia said. Dimas Alexis Lazo, of College Park, met the girl on a social media app and arranged to meet at a home in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said. Lazo was found sexually assaulting the girl inside of the home by a family member who intervened on Nov. 26, 2023, around 12:30 a.m., county police said.
