Woman Hiding In Locked Bathroom Helped Thwart Home Burglary In Maryland, Police Say
A quick-thinking woman was able to keep herself safe and alert police in Montgomery County while a burglar was roaming through her home.
Walter Lee Wright, 67, has been arrested and charged for an alleged burglary that was reported last week in the 4500 block of Dorset Avenue in Somerset that quickly went awry, police say.
The preliminary investigation by detectives determined that the victim called police, while locked in her bathroom, as Wright was walking through her home.

A Virginia man has been arrested for sexual exploitation of a minor after he was caught trying to meet up with an underage girl in Maryland, authorities say.
Jose M. Jimenez, 34, of McLean, Virginia, had thought he was talking to a 15-year-old girl on social media, but in reality, was actually having a conversation with a Montgomery County detective posing as the child, Montgomery County police say.
Jimenez initiated the sexually-charged conversation with the "girl" online, and agreed to meet up with her in Montgomery County, according to police.

Maryland Man Admits To Thrusting Lacrosse Stick At Capitol Police Officer During Jan. 6 Riot
A man from Montgomery County has pleaded guilty to a felony charge regarding his actions during the January 6 Capitol riot, the US Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia said.
David Blair, 27, of Clarksburg, admitted to thrusting a lacrosse stick at a capitol police officer while being asked to back away from the Capitol building, according to court documents.
Instead of following instructions, Blair waved his stick around, which had a Confederate battle flag attached to it, and shouted the words “hell naw, quit backing up, don’t be scared.”

Underage Clarksburg Man Busted With Firearms, Parts For 'Ghost Guns': Police
A 20-year-old driver pulled over in a routine traffic stop was arrested and charged for having multiple firearms and tools to make Privately Made Firearms (PMFs), or "ghost guns," police in Montgomery County said.
Lawrence Harrison was pulled over at Henderson Corner Road and Seneca Crossing Drive on Wednesday, Feb. 23 around 7 p.m., authorities said.
When officers approached the vehicle, which smelled like marijuana, they discovered Harrison was driving with a suspended license.
