Pair Charged With Weapons Offenses Following Multiple Hit-Run Crashes In Frederick, Police Say
Two men are facing weapons charges following a series of hit-and-run crashes that were reported in Frederick County, police say.
Frederick resident Chung Thang, 25, and his passenger, Anthony Chin, 27, of Elkridge, were both arrested this week following a report of multiple incidents that rapidly escalated when they tried to escape.
According to the Frederick Police Department, at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, officers were called to the 5700 block of Butterfly Lane to investigate a reported hit-and-run after Thang allegedly struck two parked cars and attempted to flee.

Owners Admit Fault For Fire At Long Island Rental That Killed Maryland Sisters
A husband and wife from Long Island admitted fault after a fire killed two Maryland sisters staying at their vacation rental.
Peter Miller, age 56, pleaded guilty to two counts of criminal negligent homicide, and Pamela Miller, age 55, pleaded guilty to reckless endangerment in Suffolk County Court on Monday, Aug. 26.
It came two years after sisters Lindsay Wiener, age 19, and Jillian Wiener, age 21, both of Potomac, Maryland, died in a fire at the couple’s Noyac rental home in August 2022.

A suspicious fire that resulted in the grisly deaths of three people led to the apprehension of a Maryland man who is facing murder, arson, and other charges, authorities announced on Tuesday.
Michael Anthony Swann, 35, has been identified and charged for the triple homicide on April 15 that took the lives of Aberdeen residents John C. Claytor, 54, Talaya D. Wiley, 48, and Melissa L. Williams, 45.
