Two Teens Among Four Hit With Hundreds Of Charges For Gun Shop Burglaries In Maryland
Four suspects are facing hundreds of charges for their alleged roles in a string of commercial burglaries and attempted burglaries of gun stores in Maryland, authorities announced on Tuesday.
Between December 2023 and March 2024, officials say that the group is connected to at least 10 incidents in Anne Arundel, Prince George's, and Baltimore counties.
Those charged:
Cy'juan Hemsley, 19, of District Heights, who was charged with 200 counts;
Mahkiya McQuinn-Woodley, 20, of Baltimore, who was charged with 189 counts;

Three people have been charged after being found with several bottles of suspected prescription drugs in Gambrills, authorities announced.
In the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 14, officers conducted a traffic stop of an orange Dodge Charger on Annapolis Road near Odenton Road, where they located the three individuals, according to Anne Arundel County police.
During the stop, officers conducted a search of the vehicle where they found three bottles of suspected codeine, a small amount of marijuana, and a loaded handgun.

An Annapolis man is dead after a horrific single-vehicle drunk driving collision over the weekend, authorities say.
Russell Henry Dandridge, 58, was killed after Lamar Rondell Williams, 53, crashed the vehicle they were traveling in while under the influence of alcohol, around 7:15 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 18, according to Anne Arundel County police.

A pair of teenage siblings were arrested in connection to an armed robbery in Brooklyn, authorities say.
The brother and sister, both 16-years-old, were connected to the crime, with the brother being arrested on Thursday, Dec. 1, with the assistance of School Resource Officers after being identified in connection to the robbery of a citizen on Wednesday, Nov. 30. The sister was arrested several hours before, around 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, after reportedly additionally robbing a business, according to Anne Arundel County police.

Mall Gunman Who Fired Shots While Fixing His Pants Arrested After Lengthy Investigation
Police have identified the man accused of accidentally firing shots in the food court area of the Arundel Mills Mall while adjusting his pants, authorities say.
Witnesses say the suspect, identified as Brandon Maurice Carroll, 26, appeared to have been adjusting his pants when the firearm he had been concealing went off into the floor of the food court area of the mall around 3:30 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 1, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Carroll fled with other mall patrons after firing the gun. Carroll was identified on Friday, Nov. 11, and was arrested Wednesday, Nov. 16.

Maryland Man Arrested After Stabbing Murder
A Glen Burnie man has been arrested after being accused of stabbing a victim to death, authorities say.
Swayne Jay Powers Jr., 32, was taken into custody after reportedly stabbing Vincent Eugene Rawlings 3rd, 26, in the 7900 block of Benesch Circle, around 4:30 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, according to Anne Arundel County police.
Rawlings succumbed to his injuries at an area hospital.
Investigation revealed Powers to be the suspect, and he was taken into custody several hours later. Police believe that the murder followed an earlier dispute between the two.

A police impersonator has been arrested after a traffic stop in Odenton, authorities say.
Investigators say that on Tuesday, Nov. 8, officers conducted a traffic stop around 1 p.m., in the area of Piney Orchard Parkway and Ransom Drive, where they pulled over Raymonte Michael Washington, 28, according to Anne Arundel County police.
When officers made contact with Washington, he identified himself as a police officer. When asked to produce his police credentials, the driver could not and continued to insist he was a police officer.
