A Maryland man who forced women into prostitution across several East Coast states is facing life in prison.
Brandon Sartor, 33, a Prince George's County native, pleaded guilty on Thursday, Aug. 27 to two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion, according to the Department of Justice.
Between December 2024 and April 2025, prosecutors say that Sartor used physical violence, threats, sexual assault, and the withholding of drugs to compel two women to engage in repeated commercial sex acts in Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.

Former Fox Affiliate TV Anchor Admits To Stabbing Mother To Death
A former local television news anchor whose career included several stations across the country has admitted to a crime that could keep her behind bars for decades.
Angelynn “Angie” Mock, 48, pleaded guilty Friday, Aug. 21, to first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of her 80-year-old mother, Anita Avers, according to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office. Mock faces a presumptive life sentence with eligibility for parole after 25 years.
Her sentencing is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 5.
